This weekend as you enjoy the Easter Passion Play which celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ, let us share some significant points with you.
First, we need to be saved. This is because of Adam’s disobedience in the Garden of Eden, passing sin on to all men (Romans 3:23, Romans 5:12).
Next, God’s holy nature is pure, yet He still desires fellowship with us. But, like Adam, our own sin, pride and unbelief are a wedge separating us from God. Yet He is merciful. Because of his unending love, He provided the payment our sin requires. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ to die on the cross to make the atonement for our sins (Romans 5:8-10, Romans 6:23).
Finally, God put His stamp of approval on this sacrificial payment by raising Jesus Christ from the dead. Jesus Christ is alive by the power of God! For these reasons, we invite you to come and see the live drama which portrays the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ lives by the power of God (Romans 8:11).
But the forgiveness of our sins is only by personal faith as we trust in Christ, accepting His sacrifice for us. We invite you to place your faith in Him and receive His wonderful gift of forgiveness and restored fellowship with God by prayerfully asking Jesus Christ to forgive you and become your own Savior! (Romans 10:9-13)
